The Krasnoarmeysky district is located in the western part of the Krasnodar Territory in close proximity to the regional center - the city of Krasnodar. It borders with Abinsky, Dinsky, Kalininsky, Crimean, Seversky and Slavyansky districts. Its water resources are represented by large and high-water rivers Kuban and Bayou, which border the territory of the district from south to west and connect it with the Sea of Azov. The area has a well-developed transport infrastructure. The total length of paved roads is 300 km, and they connect the district with the cities of Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Rostov–on-Don, lead to the Black and Azov Seas. The territory of the municipality is 1899.1 sq.km. The municipality consists of 10 rural settlements comprising 43 localities. The distance from the city of Krasnodar is 70 km, from the port city of Novorossiysk – 100 km. 104 thousand people live in the district . The administrative center is the village of Poltava
